Default Halloween

Hey,

I was just wondering what everyone thought would be the big halloween thing this year. Hopefully it is different than a pumpkin head!

Actually there's no "big" halloween thing this year; we're having a "modest" Halloween.

I predict.....nothing. No masks, no hats, nada, zip......
If all thats going to be is the 'games' then there is nothing to get the mask/hat from......so I say we get nothing at all.

I'm hoping for something other than helmet. Maybe the pumpkin king's robe. Each year should be different piece. Last year was all helm, maybe this year is all clothes.

I missed out on last years halloween so i want those awsome pumpkin hats, also the christmas hats which i missed too. :/ They dont have to have a huge halloween, but why dont they just put back the same stuff they had last time? How hard would it be to just put it on the servers? They didnt delete all of that did they?

I predict a hat, some prizes and possibly a game or two to play.

Otherwise, I don't see any mini missions or quests, which would make it "modest".

I just hope that A-Net includes some version of the Mad King in the festivities - that is the true fun of Halloween, IMO.

I think that's exactly what they're going to do, and no there's no chance it was all "deleted". That would just be bad ressource management.

Honestly I hope for another pumpkin helm, but a Skull helm would be pretty cool too. I dont think I would care about a witches hat though.

im not one to demand anything but, i really hope they dont reuse the pumpkin crown, that will be jsut uber lame.

they said that the hats would always be unique and its not like you can get a tengu mask ever again. they should all be one time deal, it will be a huge slap in the veteran player's face if everyone gets a pumpkin mask and they can only get a 2nd one..

if they cant give up the pumpkin crowns and need to give it every year, they gotta give somethin to someone who has one already... and same next year, making a set of a mini mad king, same for winter's day, maybe the rest of santa suit?

they can do it, its the question of, will they go the distance and make everyone happy during these holidays.. :\

I for one say let the pumpkin crown be available to EVERYONE who wants to get one in the Halloween event. And yes, if I had gotten one of these last Halloweeen, I'd be saying the same thing.

no way. that would be like if every year you went to buy a christmas ornament and every year it was christmas 1901. the pumpkin hat says i was here for the first big event.

They have said repeatedly that the Headgear given out was unique to that event and would not be duplicated. Hoping Anet sticks to that.

I agree that there should, and probably will, be some sort of helm. However, I don't want it to be a pumkin crown. I would like for those to be unique. Perhaps a witche's hat or a Frankenstien mask.

Actually, in the latest 'The Insider', I'll quote:

Quote:
Guild Wars Nightfall, the third game in the award-winning Guild Wars epic, releases worldwide on October 27th. In addition to the new campaign, players who log on and travel to Lion's Arch or Kamadan (the starting city in Nightfall™) October 27th – 31st may notice signs of the imminent return of a certain well-known but less-than-sane monarch, and a decorative theme befitting the season.
The Mad King is returning. Also, belive me or no, I did read somewhere, though I cannot locate where at the moment, there will Not be pumkin hats this year, rather, something yet to be reavealed.
